Why is the prices prior Jun 08 so much higher than now. My property as valued by property guru was S$ 2,719,000 in 4 June 2008 and today it is S$ 1,948,000. I thought the prices of property is going up very fast this year. Would the average pricing in general for now lower than that of prior Jun 08? Thanks.

I'm not too sure how accurate the valuation tool in this website is, or how the valuation is derived in less than 3seconds.

The difference between the two valuations is too big. Either one must be done wrongly, maybe wrong value inputs. The property did not rise by 50% nor did it fall by 50%.

You should get a banker to do a valuation. The banker will approach qualified valuers to check out the property. This will be far more accurate than the quick valuation tool here.
