I am unsure where did you find the information that you can sell back your HDB unit back to HDB? Technically HDB will not buy back any units they have sold. Are there any special circumstances for the examples that you know of?     I've been reading Q&A here, when asked about selling back to HDB, many gurus replied, why sell to HDB when you can get better price in the open market. It seems that many Gurus could not give a complete answer.
