A Buyer's Stamp Duty is payable when you purchase or acquire a property. With effect from 20 Feb 2018, there are differentiated BSD rates between residential and non-residential properties. The BSD rate for acquisition of residential properties on or after 20 Feb 2018 (after the 2018 Budget changes) is up to 4%.

Hi,

Buyer Stamp Duty is payable within 14 days from the day of exercise OTP or S&P (for private property purchases), and nearing completion (for HDB resale purchase).

The BSD is tiered in such a way:
1st $180k = 1%
2nd $180k = 2%
amount from $360k to $1m = 3%
amount above $1m = 4%

Dear Sir/Mdm,

Buyer Stamp Duty amount depends on the quantum of the property purchase. For property below 1 mil, you may use the formula 3% of Purchase Price minus 5400. For property above 1 mil, you may use the formula 4% of Purchase Price minus 15,400.

Stamp Duty is paid within 14 days from the date you exercise the option to purchase. For resale properties, you will need to pay in cash first and reimburse from your CPF account if you intend to use CPF to pay for it.
