What is the possibility of me having to top up to my CPF OA if I am selling my flat lower than market value which will also result in negative sales, which was due to higher interest because of refinancing previously?

Hi Ms. Pearl,

If the sale price amount can cover and offset the outstanding loan but is not able to cover the CPF utilized for the property fully (ie. negative sales), and if the property is sold below market value, you have to top up with cash the balance amount that is still due to your CPF OA account. Its a requirement of the CPF regulations.
