Sales assignment typically calls for commission at 2% of the transacted price where GST maybe applicable for agencies which are registered.

Market rate is about 2%, however Commission is negotiable.

I always believe if I can get my clients the price that they want, more often they will be more than willing to reward me with my fair share in commission. FYI, I have had cases where my clients pay me above 2%, because I had managed to get them very good prices.

Hi Wendy,

Basically you would have seen many of my industry colleagues mentioning to you that the market rate is about 2%. Actually over time this have changed. What matters is that you would need to engage someone who can assist you in getting a good deal out of it. There are many agents out there who is paid more than 2% but their sellers are more than happy because of what they can have to offer. And ultimately even when they pay more than 2%, they still feel that it is more value for money.

If this sounds a little strange to you, then maybe what I can suggest is that we can actually meet up for a coffee and I can share more with you. No worries as there are absolutely no obligations at all and we can just take it as a chat.
