what is the current HDB rule? I own a 2rm HDB flat (my husband an 'occupant' of the unit) which i am renting out. We have been living overseas the past 5 years. My husband is not a Sg nor a PR. Are we allowed to buy a Condo or do i have to sell my HDB unit? Thanks.

Morning Selvi,

You bought the unit under single scheme but did you purchased the unit after 30 Aug 2011? If you purchase the unit before that date, you can purchase private property with your husband, but the Additional Buyer's Stamp Suty of 10% will be incurred. You will still be required to fulfill your MOP before you are eligible to reside in the private property.
