I am assuming that you will be financing the purchase of resale HDB using the proceeds of the sale of your current condominium without any home loan involved since you have mentioned that both of you are not working. As long as you fulfill the eligibility criteria to purchase a resale HDB flat, you may purchase a 3 room HDB flat after selling (Singapore Citizen household or SPR/SPR household for more than 3 years). A typical timeline for HDB purchase is approximately 3-3.5months depending if there is any extension required for both submission and after completion.

Hi,
If you are Singaporean & are already over 55yo, you may buy a 3 room resale HDB after you sell off your condo. There will not be any wait out period for you guys.
If you are SPR, you will need to be SPR for at least 3 years before you are eligible to purchase a HDB resale flat.

The usual timeline for HDB resale completion is about 3 months (if there isn't any extension needed from seller & buyer side).
