We have ended our tenancy 2wks back, however agent still yet to come back on the final deduction from security deposit. And till now the security deposit still yet to receive. Agent has even shouted at me on phone when asked for final details. They kept on saying, will have to wait for new tenant to comeback for any damage. We felt that would be unfair, what is the purpose of handover and their inspection. We waited for 14days for the details and our security deposit, but still nothing.
How to get help on this? Unit was handed over way better than before. But the agent and along with her husband are not cooperative. Both of them are agents of PropNex but our contract is with the lady only. The husbands decides along.

Hi, appreciate your sharing, you can serve notice and check with them what are the issues. If nothing works, please proceed to seek legal advise or small claim court assistance.

Sorry to hear about the situation you are in. Who are the landlords? Are the landlords also the agents you are dealing with? If tenancy agreement state that deposit has to be returned maximum 14 days after handover, this is a requirement and is not dependant on whether next tenant has any feedback or not, unless otherwise stated in your Tenancy Agreement.

Deposit is held by the landlord and not the agent, thus any actions taken should be against the landlord. Agents are purely facilitating the communication and etc.

Complain the agent name and registration number ( just check from property guru and CEA : https://www.cea.gov.sg/aceas/public-register/sales/1)LISTING online both to CEA and his/her agency for *(1). wrongful behaviour to shout at you( 2.) if agent violate the refund part and act contrary to tenancy agreement . agent may back off knowing he/she at fault and may face penalties under his company and /or CEA
