Afternoon Mike,

If you have being staying at your current unit from the day of purchase, you would have fulfilled the MOP requirement thus eligible to purchase your second property without the need to sell away your HDB unit. Having fully paid for your HDB mortgage, you are also eligible for 80% loan. This would be dependent on your credit record, income status and length of loan period. However, do note on the CPF minimum sum which have being revised.

Hi Mike,

As long as you have fulfilled the required minimum occupation period for your HDB flat, you are absolutely eligible to purchase a private property.

And it seems like you had done so. Since you had done so, you can start your house hunting. But I will recommend you to obtain an in principle approval (IPA) before you start your house hunting so you have a gauge of your budget.

You will be eligible to loan up to 80% of the valuation/ purchase price of the unit as you dont have any outstanding housing loan currently.

I will love to assist you in your property purchase! Feel free to contact me if needed. I will introduce bankers to advise you on your IPA as well.

Looking forward to hear from you soon!

Warmest Regards,
YT Tan
