We are living overseas and leasing our HDB EA in Pasir Ris Street 52. We are exploring to down grade to a smaller unit plus better location with higher rental demand. Appreciate experts comments on our thoughts. Please also suggest locations and HDB room type if you think we should consider.

Morning,

You are living overseas due to work commitment or by choice? Are you SC or SPR?

Assuming that you are SC, living overseas due to work deployment, purchasing a unit in Kim Tian or Holland Village area can be good. I have closed a 3 room flat rental at Holland Village, about 2 months ago at $3k, partial furnished with a/c.

Dear sir/madam,

We need to first find out on your eligibility to sell since you have mentioned that you are living overseas and leasing your HDB EA in Pasir Ris. Mike has also checked if you are SC or SPR as it makes a difference when it comes to subletting your HDB.

Do take note that since you are living overseas, to do the sell and buy process will be pretty troublesome, and on top of that, HDB may not approve of your subletting your newly purchase unit immediately, as it is deemed that public housing is not supposed to be a tool for investment.
