We are HDB owners looking to sell our unit. We called an agent upon receiving flyers that he has ready buyers for flats in our area. We didn't appoint the agent as our sales agent as we just responded to the flyers and he brought his buyer to view our flat. In this case, do we need to pay commission to the agent? Or should the buyer pay?

Good morning,

Did you allowed the agent to bring in buyer for the viewing, indicating that he will be representing you for the sales? The agent would not have been able to arrange for anything unless you had been communicating with him.
Was there any immediate offer that is satisfactory to you?
Are you ready to commit due to any concerns that you might have?

Do feel free to contact me should you require additional assistance.
