We are considering selling our home to move closer to my parents and workplace. However, we have a lot of debt and are worried that we not be able to get a bank loan. Should we sell our HDB flat first and settle our debts before buying a new property? Was wondering whether there is anyone there who could advise us on this issue. Our flat can fetch a price double of what we paid for it so it's a good time to sell we feel. Thanks!

Hi Sir/Mdm,

Since at the moment you still have the debt with the bank, it is not advisable to sell your hdb first. By the way, have the bank(s) send out any lawyer letter to you before? This will affect your loan with the bank in the future.
Anyway at this moment, this is the best I can share with you, cos I do not know more of your other informations.
