We are considering selling our current flat& intend to upgrade to an EC but we encounter a problem in regards to resale levy.our current flat is a resale EM bought with no grant, for us that's clear enough that we don't need to pay resale levy if we are to upgrade to the EC but the problem is for my wife this is not her first property.her parents bought a subsidised 3 room flat, years later upon having difficulties paying the installment through CPF decided to add my wife's name, years later sold the house because my wife had no other choice but to withdraw her name in order to buy our current flat.with all that said& done, after staying for more than 10 years in our current flat we decided to finally upgrade. Before we proceed, would really like to know if we are still liable to pay a resale levy now if we do buy an EC due to my wife's previous situation. We have email to HDB but the answer provided weren't clear. No mention if my wife liable to pay any resale levy if we proceed
