We are both husband and wife PR, and intend to get a 3 room hdb flat. Our budget of the purchase price max is 300k. My question, how much cash on hand I need to fork out? And how much of cpf minimum should we have as we are just getting PR.

Afternoon Kelly,

Let's assume that the valuation for 3 room flat in Yishun, Circuit Rd or Woodlands to be at $275k, and COV asking $20k, this is what you will be looking at, assuming you have zero CPF:

1) 20% deposit, based on 80% loan: $55k
2) Legal and stamp fee: $6.3k
3) Misc Admin charges: $380
4) COV: $25k
5) Salesperson commission: $3.2k (including GST)

Hence the total cash you require is around $90k.
