We are a company in Hong Kong with subsidiaries in Singapore. We want to buy commercial property for our own office use in Singapore. Is there any difference from initial tax or ongoing tax perspectives whether we purchase by our Singapore company or our senior executives (not Singaporean) make the purchase.

If you are purchasing commercial properties, there is no additional buyer's stamp duty for consideration, therefore from this perspective, there will be no difference. The key considerations will likely be the financing aspects, where you will need to consider if you will be taking up any loans and how much loan are you intending to take up and your loan eligibility. I have recently sold a commercial property, where buyer was considering to purchase under personal name instead of a company name, but decided to change otherwise after consulting their tax advisor. You may wish to work with your tax consultant here in Singapore to find out which is the best way moving forward.
