This is regarding paying the agent commision to Agent. When we need to pay to agent? He is asking me to pay on the completion date itself. My doubt is if anything find wrong in the house once we moved-in, to whom we approach? agent may not show interest since we alreayd paid. Can I ask the agent to wait for one week after getting the key? Is it normal? how it works??

Hi Chris,

Whether it is pte condo or HDB, prior to the sale completion, the buyer can inspect the house. This is done usually on the very last day or few days before completion. During inspection, the buyer can bring up any matters which he don't see right in the house to the owner or agent to have it rectify.

Once inspection is over, and upon sale completion, it will be the responsibility of the new owner.
