Hi there, When considering buying a HDB Flat, you should be looking at amenities, future developments of not just the town, but also the immediate neighborhood of the block. Tampines is a better choice over Pasir Ris. Tampines is poised to grow further with new housing, shopping facilities, more parkland and other amenities at Tampines North. Transport within Tampines will be augmented, including new rail lines like the Downtown Line that will offer residents and visitors shorter, more comfortable and convenient commutes. Tampines is the regional hub for the East, and can say North East, as many from SengKang and Punggol come down to Giant Hypermart, Courts and Ikea on weekends to shop, dine and play (for kids). Good morning! When you purchase a house, you must work within your budget. If your budget works better for units in Pasir Ris, why still looking in Tampines? In my personal opinion, each estate has their own good and bad. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For amenities wise, Tampines will be a better choice with shopping malls and MRTs. While if you are able to get an unit in Pasir Ris near downtown east and with sea view, why not Pasir Ris? Take some time to view units in both estates and you will know which one suits you more.
