The divorce court order states that I have 3 months to sell the house. In the meantime, I would need to buy another flat and would like to know how the process works? I have heard of the contra facility but in the event the contra facility is not granted, does it mean that I will be homeless till only after I sell the current HDB flat and when all my CPF and HDB have been settled? Thanks.

Afternoon,

As per court order, you are given 3 months to sell your unit but you can always request for extension which one of my client had it extended for more than 12 months.
To perform enhance contra facility, your current unit should be under HDB loan and your upcoming purchase is also to be using HDB loan. Hence you need to apply for your HLE and work things out accordingly.
If you are unable to purchase unit using enhance contra facility, you would be required to work things out with your seller for renovation idemnity request and have your selling and purchasing timing worked out nicely.

DO feel free to contact me if you require further assistance.
