You will have to sell off your HDB within 6 months from the TOP of your EC.

Alternatively, you can engage another agent to sell your existing HDB for you.

Hi,

The regulation is such that you need to dispose your EC within 6 months of key collection to EC. Depending on the payment scheme you took up, you may need to service 2 concurrent loans at the same time, and may be penalized if payments due to Developer are not disbursed in time. If you did not, you have up to 6 months after the EC TOP to sell off your HDB flat.

If you have bought under Deferred Payment, you will have to step up your efforts to sell off your HDB to avoid delays in getting the keys to your new home.

In most circumstances, you should have sufficient time to sell your HDB prior to TOP of the EC, therefore if the signs of having a buyer is weak, you will need to reassess your options, understand the situation and rework the strategy involved in the sale. I dare say that any sellable units put up in the market should be taken within a period of 6-8weeks which is what I have been consistently achieving.
