Dear Sir/Mdm,

From my understanding, you are looking to sell your 4 room Punggol central unit and buy a 4 room flat at Bishan using the Enhanced Contra Facilities is that correct? This is possible but for contra, you will need to satisfy certain requirements such as your current loan must be a HDB loan and you must be taking a HDB loan to purchase the Bishan flat.

Yes its possible to do contra, I have helped various homeowners to do the same. Have also recently transacted both a 4-room & 5-room unit at Punggol Drive area as well. Is your current property under HDB loan?

I noticed that you left a couple of questions hence I would be most happy to address them. From what I gather, you intend to sell your 4 room in Punggol and purchase another HDB using contra? If I’ve gotten that right, then it is possible to use the contra facility, however you must fulfil the requirements.
Your current loan must be a HDB loan and you would need to take a HDB loan for the next purchase.

I have been actively involved in various contra transactions and am personally very experienced in it. The KEY thing that I have observed is the need to ensure that you have had your financial calculations with timeline established before proceeding. The ease and time in which the funds have to be released from point A to point B is crucial. Hence, having a seasoned and versatile agent can help value add this process.
