Thanks for posting your question on PropertyGuru! And you know what? Your question is one very common question we encounter from our sellers! Haha.

Seriously it is still ok to market the property during the CNY season but the issue that we will face will be poorer response compared to normal times. During that period, a lot of people will be very busy and that sometimes include agents as well! So with that in mind and if you are ok, then there is no reason to avoid. When my sellers ask me this question, that will be what I will tell them and of course I will also encourage them to leave out the first 3 days of the CNY as response will really be poor and seriously I myself will be busy with family visitings too. Hi Jane,

As long as owner is available to do showing and serious in selling, there is no season to avoid as there are always serious buyers out there ready to put in the right offer. CNY period is a good time to do viewing as well since the house is likely to have been cleaned thoroughly to welcome Spring therefore will be more pleasant. Also, for any buyers who request to view during CNY is likely a very serious buyer to skip visiting for house hunting.

It does not hurt to take an hour or so of my time over CNY to assist my client do viewings. Furthermore it is not common enquiry as we only celebrate CNY once a year.
