SHOULD I RENT OUT OR SELL? I live in 4rms HDB 5mins to Bt Gombak MRT.If I sell in May09, my expected profit is 250% fr initial purchase px(in yr'04). I intend to wait and see the pte mkt and buy a 2nd pty. HDB to rent and pte to stay.However, I'm tempted to cash out the gain of my HDB. Should I do the latter or rent out since its got rental potential? Many advises renting out as it hard to find near mrt and potential rental unit.

Hi Cejay,

Both the rental and re-sale market had slowed down now.

If you have sufficient fund to buy another property without selling yor existing HDB flat, the rental yield for your HDB will be very good.

However, should you need to cash out from your existing HDB flat. It will be a sell-low buy-low market now. Especially for private property.
