Afternoon,

In the eyes of the law, being separated doesn't equal to divorce. If you have a current unit with your wife, you need to sell it first, either prior to signing of divorce papers, or after the papers are signed.
You are not allowed to purchase any HDB unit, on your own, or with someone else, as you and your wife is still considered as one.
