recently i bought a hdb flat, paid quite high cash over valuation, but after moving in many loansharks come demanding money owed by previous owners, pour paint many times... making police report does not seem to work, installing cctv will be expensive, it is embarrassing and family is fearful. what options do i have against the agent/agency/sellers? agent had admitted not asking the sellers anything at all about the history of flat, neighbours say loanshark harassment many years already. if install cctv, can claim costs from agent for shoddy work? can claim back cash over valuation and damages for mental stress and fear from agency/sellers? thanks in advance for your opinions.
