If you and your family have been physically occupying the flat for at least 5 years, definitely no issues with renting the flat out. The HDB approval will just be a formality.

Hi Daniel,

If you are a local and been staying there for 15 years, you should have any problem renting out your HDB and staying condo. HDB approval is required but it quite straight forward as long as MOP is met.

You also mentioned that you intend to buy a new condo. Just take note that, if says the condo TOP 3 years later, the rule might change then.
