Let's work out some of the numbers.

HDB loan - estimated $343k assuming you are 40 years old and eligible for 25 years loan tenure. Your estimated budget including funds on hand could be around $500k. Based on current market conditions, it might be impossible to get an EM within $500k. Will you consider other unit type?

If you are a single SC, you can proceed to buy alone as well.

Based on the numbers shared, assuming you are 40 years old taking a 25 year loan, the max home loan attainable is $343k which means in addition to your cash and CPF OA available, we should be looking at around $500k for purchase price. There are still 30 - 40 year old older larger 4-room units at outer areas that could fit this price range. If your daughter is already working with some employment income, it may be possible tp open up to higher price range.

Pardon me if I have gotten the wrong interpretation of your scenario. You are planning to purchase a resale HDB under your own name with your daughter as an essential occupier. May I know the constitution of your household in order to know better of the situation to provide more adequate solutions?

If you are the sole owner and borrower, given that your daughter is already 20 years old, I'd assume that your age should be 45 years old, therefore your estimated loan size is in the range of under $260k with a loan tenure of 20 years (for bank loan). With that you will probably be looking at purchase price of $420k. FYI, this is just the estimate as we do not have an accurate figure based on your scenario.
