1) You would need professional logical advice rather than emotional. The most important thing is the adviser should not rush you into making a final decision.
2) Professional advice would include the following:
(a) How to determine your budget?
(b) Which location is ideal with your budget?
(c) What are the immediate concerns you might have in the near future, such as schooling for children, convenience, proximity to friends/relatives, etc?
(d) The current price in the location chosen.
(e) How to determine the offer price?
(g) What to look out for when doing viewing?
(h) Is it a logical decision to make an offer or just an impulse decision? Impulse buying is quite common, especially after spending many weeks/months looking for the ideal home, buyers would just want to buy anything that comes onto the market.
