My wife is working half day and thus taking half the normal basic salary for about a year.
If we use the half day basic salary, our combined income will be less than 16k. Do we meet the income requirement for EC?

The consideration on income cap is based on the actual income received therefore if she is only working half day arrangement, then yes, the eligibility is met. Are you keen to check out the upcoming EC launch at Tenet? I can arrange for an appointment slot.

Hi,

1) The tabulation of household income is based on the past 3 months' payslips and sometimes also needs to submit tax income returns, and CPF contribution statements as proof of continuous employment.
2) As long as it is continuous employment for the past 6 months, you are able to include the income in your loan application.
3) So it is obvious that you will meet the income ceiling limit.

However, as a rule of thumb, it is also great to clarify your finances, work out a comprehensive financial plan with timeline as well as understand the regulations involved.
