My wife and I intend to buy a resale HDB. Can my son who owns a private property stay with us? For the HDB, my wife will be the buyer and I am an essential occupier.

1) It is sufficient to form a family nucleus with you and your wife's name alone, thus eligible for the purchase.
2) With or without your son listed as an occupier will not change the eligible situation, meaning not the important factor to be eligible for the purchase.
3) Your son can be listed as an occupier even though he owned private property.
4) Only your wife needs to be listed and sign on the OTP. Your name will only need to be submitted during the resale application.
