Yes, as long as being a SIngaporean, he/she is eligible to buy a HDB flat under his name. But the following applies.

1) Before age 35, only married couple or family nucleus (father and son, mother and daughter etc) must be formed to purchase a HDB (new or resale) flat together
2) At or after age 35, single is eligible to purchase either new or resale HDB.

Regardless of 1 or 2, other conditions apply, such as income ceiling, race quota etc

Afternoon,

Being a SC is one thing, your son must also fulfill other requirements. He need to be 35 year old and above to purchase HDB unit under single scheme or must be married or prepared to get married in order to purchase unit under Public scheme, etc. He also need to have the financial ability to service the mortgage unless you intend to help your son clear it off with cash payment.
