My sister, who is single, wants to buy a resale HDB unit, can she assign me as a lasting attorney to take care of rental or sales of that unit in future and will it to me upon her death?
I own a HDB unit .

Good morning,

Lasting Power of Attorney can only be executed when your sister is not able to take care of herself. She will also be required to stay within the unit for 5 years before she can rent out the entire unit. However, she can definitely WILL the unit to whoever she deem fit. Do note that your sister must be mentally fit during the purchase of the HDB unit and preparation of the POA and WILL.
