My resale flat M.O.P. is ending in around 2 moths time.

My existing flat has a remaining lease of about 58 years. I am still paying for it using HDB Concessionary Loan.

If I were to purchase another resale flat when my MOP is up, can I get another hdb concessionary loan when I have not sold my existing one? Are there any limitation or cap to loan amount I can borrow due to unsold flat? Will downpayment be increased too in this case?

What happens if I am unable to Sell my existing flat within 6 months after buying the resale flat?

Hi,

All individuals can only get 2 HDB concessionary loans in their lifetime, and yes you can get another HDB loan if you have not sold your existing flat.

It is understood part of the sales proceeds from your current house A , will go toward to pay up fully the 1st HDB loan before any proceeds can be used for your new house B.

In essence, what you are trying to do is the HDB contra method, which means you have to find a buyer for your current flat A before you can buy another flat B with HDB loan.

Evening,

All SC HDB buyers are entitled to 2 concessional loan, provided that their income does not exceed the capped ceiling. You will be given market rate loan to start with which will be revised upon getting a buyer for your current unit. Do note that you will be required to settle the down payment, likely via cash, unless you have very healthy CPF reserve.
