Good morning h,

Your mom has to include your dad into the BTO/ SBF application as they are married, considered as single entity (family nucleus). Thus they eventually have to sell off their existing HDB. By the way, buying a BTO could be a good option as their HDB is quite old already.

How about you? Have you reach 35 YO to buy under single singapore citizen scheme?

Hi,

1) The answer is a straight negative.
2) Your dad and mum are still in a marriage relationship. Although your mum is not an owner, she is the essential occupier of the current flat.
3) Your parents are considered a single entity and cannot be separated under the HDB policy as long as they are still under marriage status.
4) Thus if your intention is to buy an HDB flat. You have to apply under your single name or with a spouse to form another family nucleus.
