Hi,

If they have not bought subsidized flats (new EC, new BTO, resale with grants) more than once, and do not own private properties in the last 30 months, and also fulfil the income ceiling requirements, yes they can try to apply for the BTO. The only concern would be the financing as they are senior in age and may not get much housing loan.

You need not add your name in the application as their names are sufficient to form the family nucleus. Hope the above clarifies. May I have more info and requirements about your plans so as to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.

Hi,

1) In Singapore, any SC/SC or SC/SPR married couple at or above 21 yrs old is eligible for a BTO. As long as they did not use up their chances of enjoying flat subsidies.
2) They don't need to have children to put in the application.
3) Based on their age, it would be difficult to get a loan longer than 5 yrs thus they would have to plan their finance properly.
4) Do note that they will have to keep at least BRS in their CPF RA upon receiving approval from the CPF. They can only use the excess for the flat purchase.
5) Honestly speaking I really doubt they can get any loan at all for the purchase since the current timing needed for BTO key collection is around 5 yrs.

Yes, they can, provided they:
1) had not dispose of any private property within the past 30 months.
2) form a valid family nucleus, ie. Singaporean
3) had not utilized their 2 "chances" to get subsidized housing
4) do not burst the household income ceiling of $14k per month
