My parents added my brother as the third owner of their hdb flat few years back. My father passes recently and my mother had dementia. My brother wishes withdraw his name to buy his own hdb flat with his wife. As my mother has dementia, can this be done?

Hi,

1) Dementia is symptoms affecting memory but does not mean she lost her logic and senses.
2) You will need to set up an LPA (Lasting Power Attorney) in order to assist her to manage her asset.
3) You will need a doctor and a lawyer to witness the signature of this LPA.
4) Once this is done, then you could assist her to make the best decision for her interest in managing her asset.
