My mum is the co-owner of the current flat we are living in. Can i buy a resale flat with her? Must the current flat be sold before we can buy a resale flat?

Evening Lynn,

Every SC or PR are only allowed to own one HDB unit. If your mum co-own the unit with your dad, it's impossible for your mum to remove her name from that unit and purchase a unit with you as your parents are seen as one family. If you insist on buying a HDB unit with your mum, your parents will be required to sell off the current unit.
