My mum is a SPR and not working. She plans to sell off HDB in order to free my sibling name. I plan to buy a condo under her name for her to stay. I am binded by HDB MOP. Pls advice how I can assist my mum to own a property in term of loan.

Hi,

Since you are still within MOP period, you can't put your name in the property loan for the condo to be purchased. A solution will be to temporarily rent a place until your MOP is met, after all rents and private residential prices are adjusting downwards on a gradual basis. Thereafter, when your MOP is met you can purchase the condo and enter the market when you feel the time is suitable. What is your opinion on this?
