My mother and i are joint owner of private pty. I intend to take her name out from joint ownership and buy a hdb flat for her. I m looking at studio flat for elderly or 3 room flat less than S$300k. Can i do so?

Good morning SJ,

Even if you remove your mom's name from the current private property, she has to wait at least 30 months before she can apply for a BTO (studio apartment or 3R< flat).

But this regulation is not applicable if she is going to purchase a resale HDB.
