My mother (51yrs) sold her flat in 2010. Medically unfit to work. I am 24 years old single, earning a gross income of $3000 per month Our family nucleus includes a triplets of 19 years old, my father is 66 long term pass holder. Currently we are living in a 2 room HDB rental. What are my chances of buying a 4rm or bigger HDB flat to accommodate my growing siblings and parents? We seeking a long term home for my family. My mother has about 40k in her CPF. What kind of grant am I eligible for? Would appreciate your guidance very much Thank you.

Dear sir/madam,

Your first step is to do an assessment of how much loan you are eligible for in this purchasing arrangement with HDB or bank.

With that assessment done, you will then be able to understand better on what is available based on your eligibility. Do take note that if you were to include your mother as co-owner in order to utilise her CPF monies, she will be considered as a 2nd timer or more, and grant will not be available or resale levy will be applicable if she has utilised her chance to purchase a subsidised flat before this.
