My MOP for my current HDB still left about another 1 year and 3 months..
Am currently staying in a 3 room flat and married. Initially was thinking of only 2 people world. But then now I have 2 kids, a maid so am in desperation to upgrade. Is there anyway that I can sell my HDB now and buy a 3BR condo?

Hi Simon,

If you have a strong case (esp. expanded family reasons), you could appeal to HDB to sell within MOP period. Approval on case by case basis by you may have a good chance since its for family reasons and if your finances are comfortable for the upgrade. Will be glad to assist with your appeal. Hi Simon,

I think you have pretty substantial reason for the need to sell before meeting the MOP, therefore what you need to do as what my fellow professionals have pointed out is to submit an appeal to relevant department from HDB to gain approval for the premature sale. Prior to that however, it is also important to ensure that moving forward after the sale of your existing HDB, you have already done the necessary financial assessment and planning to proceed with the upsizing of your home. Do not get caught by the existing lending regulations therefore instead of approaching HDB first, I highly encourage you to speak to a banker first if you have not.
