My Malaysian ex-wife left our home with my Singaporean son without my consent and stayed with her parents in Malaysia. After 2 months back and forth, we finally divorced. We were married in Malaysia and the divorce took place is Malaysia via zoom. I am 43 years old and my 4-room HDB flat is due to MOP in 2025. I intend to fight for custody of my son as he had been schooling in Singapore since young. But my ex-wife refused to return my son. My ex-wife also had been bugging me to sell the house. She was just an occupier and did not contribute anything to the house. How do I retain my house? Please advise.

If your house was only owned by you, but she as an occupier, there is legal recourse that can be taken to prove that you own it and as a Singaporean you should retain it. Best you talk to a lawyer who can advice you best. I can recommend a few I work directly with, and maybe you can take it from there. Read More

Hi,

I would be most glad to assist you further and pls feel free to let me know if you need any assistance. Have a good day ahead. By the way, if your wife is only an occupier, then she does not have any say with regards to matters pertaining this flat.
