My husband and I currently co-own an HDB flat. We're considering to buy a private property under my name.

Am I allowed to sell my portion of HDB to my husband, so that he becomes the sole owner of the HDB unit (first property) and I am the sole owner of the private property (first property)? I'm a SG citizen and my husband is a PR.

Afternoon Yvonne,

Since both of you are husband and wife, the ownership of the unit have to be under both names. Sole ownership is only applicable if you are referring to single scheme or private properties.
