My husband and I are waiting for our BTO flat keys. We will get the keys probably end 2022. We are below 35 years old.
What happens if we were to get a divorce? I would like to get hold of the flat. I know that usually after a divorce the flat needs to be sold off.
I am awaiting for HDB's reply if I can change ownership to my sole name and my husband's name as the occupier.

Hi,

1) Since both of you are still under 35yrs old. None of you are able to keep the flat alone if there is anything that happened to your marriage now.
2) Only under the following condition that one of you can keep the flat:
(a) Have a child in the formula, the one with the child's legal custody will be allowed to keep the flat.
(b) there is another party added in to form a family nucleus.
(c) The one had reached the age of 35yrs old or older.
