Hi Mdm,

You are eligible to purchase a resale HDB flat immediately after selling off the condo.

As for BTO, you need to meet all the eligibility conditions before you can apply. You will also need to sell off the condo, wait out another 30 months, before you can apply for the BTO.

Hi Akiko,

1) He is eligible to buy BTO/SBF after became a citizen.
2) However, in order to buy BTO/SBF, there is a requirement that you are not owning any private property.
3) Thus if intend to sell your current condo, you have to wait for 30 months before being eligible to apply for BTO/SBF.
4) During this 30 months period, you can only rent and not buying any residential unit.
5) Alternative, he can consider buying a resale HDB flat. Stay for 5 years to complete the MOP and apply for BTO/SBF.

Hi Madam

Once your husband successfully becomes Singapore citizen, he need to sell his condo and wait for 30 months after selling to be able to apply for BTO
For BTO, he need to meet all the eligibility conditions before he can apply
For resale HDB, he can immediately buy after selling off the condo.

Alternatively if you and your husband are holding PR for min. 3 years can also consider buying resale HDB without converting to citizen
