You will need to appeal against the 15 months waiting period, since you are only 53 years old. Owners are not allowed to put up their properties for rent or sale on PropertyGuru. In fact they are encouraged to engage the services of agents to market their place if required especially for rental, due to the spike in scam cases for rent in recent times. Many tenants I have came across have indicated that they are now very careful and will prefer to deal with agents listings instead since it is more legitimate source of listing given that we are licensed to do real estate works. This works well for many landlords too, since we will also be required to do our due diligence on prospective tenants. If your concern is to save on agent fees, the good news then is that agent fees is only applicable when there is a successful transaction, therefore this amount of money can be built into the monthly rental price you get from the tenants. Both of you will need to be above the age of 55 years old to be able to purchase a HDB flat immediately after the sale of the condo. However, as you are 53 years old, I will suggest that you appeal to HDB for a waiver.
