Hi,

1) You are not allowed to buy a local or overseas residential property during the MOP.
2) However, if you are buying a non-residential property for business. Then, it is advisable to seek HDB approval before processing.
3) For buying overseas property, you must ensure you understand the local laws and regulations, cultures, local buying habits on property, etc.
4) Most important you have to know very well the risk of buying an overseas property is higher than buying in Singapore.
5) There is a lot of homework to do for buying a property in Singapore, left alone buying in a foreign place where we know much less than our home town.
