My friend Jane is a Singapore PR and a Malaysian who lives in Johor and has a Johor landed property. She and her Singapore husband has a daughter in Singapore who owns a Singapore condo. If her Singapore husband passes away, can his Singapore HDB be inherited by Jane (MOP long time ago)? And if can, can she don't sell the HDB and just hold it for living in it or rental?

(For info, Jane's daughter can't inherit without selling within six months as she already has a condo herself)

    Can she appeal before husband passes away so at least she would know her chances? Rather than having to urgently appeal AFTER husband passes away, in which there's only six months to sell, and still need to wait dunno how long for result of appeal.
As a single PR, she will be ineligible to own a HDB under her own name, thus the HDB has to be sold. Read More
