My fiancee and I are both PR. I owned a property (still financing)back in Malaysia with my ex-wife and she does not agreed to sell the property. Are we still eligible to purchase a re-sale HDB if I am still unable to dispose the oversea property?

Hi Gary,

The new regulations require you to dispose your private/overseas property within 6 months upon purchase of HDB flat.

Morning Gary,

It would be quite tough to proceed as you will be required to sell off your private property, 6 months from key collection of your private property.
As you ex-wife is unwilling to sell it, why not suggest that your ex-wife purchase over your share of the private property, so that both of you can move on.
