My fiance is a foreigner has a property in China under his name as this property was given by his grandpa as a wedding gift. I am a Singapore citizen. Both my fiance and I are working currently in Singapore. We would like to purchase a resale flat in Singapore but was told that if my fiance were to own any property in oversea I am unable to purchase a resale flat. What is the possible solution I could do so that i could purchase a flat in Singapore? My fiance hold a work permit pass and just renewed it recently.

Good morning, you can purchase a resale HDB with your foreigner spouse under non citizen spouse scheme but he has to dispose off his interest in his Chinese property within 6 months from 2nd appointment.
