Hi VP,

If you wish to continue in subletting your HDB, what you will require is regulatory or authoritative assistance. If you have completed your MOP and the owners of the property are Singapore citizens, I am not too sure what is the basis for the rejection for subletting.

    Thanks Geryl for the reply. My situation is husband is Singapore citizen, wife is PR, MOP is not met (1 year). Reason for rejection from HDB is "We've given you three years approval. Subsequent renewal is subjected to HDB (note: which was obviously rejected)". Don't know what new regulations is rejection based on. Any further assistnace/advice is most appreciated.

Hi VP,

You would need to check with HDB as to why they reject your renewal.

Take note that with effect from 12th Jan 2013, PRs are not allowed to sublet the whole unit.

If you have completed your MOP and have no intention to return, you may consider to sell the unit.
